Illuminating the classic exterior of Mount Lofty House was an exciting challenge. This beautiful old building and its grounds are one of Adelaide’s most iconic locations, and we wanted to showcase everything that makes it so special.
We chose the Spectrum Path Light by Unios to guide visitors around the grounds, illuminating footpaths and lawned areas. The Spectrums have a modern, streamlined look that reduces glare while blending effortlessly into any landscape.
Ceira Step Lights illuminate the main driveway leading up to the estate, providing visual interest and plenty of light despite their small size. The Blaze 36W Spotlight has the task of lighting up the towering pine tree at the entrance to the property - and it does an excellent job, with no inch of the trunk or canopy left unilluminated!
Firefly Spike Lights add a pop of light amongst foliage and help to highlight the metal art pieces placed around the grounds. The slightly larger Willow and Lotus Spike Lights brighten up larger points of interest within the garden without drawing attention to themselves.
It was a privilege to design the lighting for this South Australian landmark. With rolling lawns, grand trees and intricate exteriors, there was so much highlight, and we wanted to enable visitors to experience it all.
